Wednesday, August
11th - Terry Lee Goffee - The "Ultimate" Tribute
to
Johnny Cash, 7:30 pm
In the spring of
1955 Johnny Cash walked into the legendary Sun
Recording Studios in Memphis, Tennessee. The
music world was
never the same. Not long afterward, I put my
first Johnny Cash
record on a turntable and my world was never the
same.
This "Tribute"
sprang from my appreciation and love, not only
for
the music of Johnny Cash, but for the man
himself. A champion of the underdog, a voice for
those who often have none, an "outlaw" before
it became fashionable. If you come away from
this presentation with
a better understanding of who Johnny Cash is, I
will have succeeded
in my vision for this endeavor.
Enjoy the ride.

looks like "Johnny"

sounds just like "Johnny"

Friday,
August 13th - Lone Star, 7:30 pm
For Multi-Platinum
Artist
LONESTAR- THE FUTURE IS NOW.
LONESTAR
is leading the way
as the next generation artist, by putting
themselves in
the drivers seat and taking
complete control of their careers and how they
market themselves.
During a time when the music
industry is seeking direction
LONESTAR has
found theirs, with their new single at radio
"LET ME LOVE YOU". LONESTAR feels more
like a
band than ever, with new lead singer Cody
Collins and not to mention 15 years of proven
success in sales and touring with over 10
million albums sold, roots they will never
forget,
The Mantra of
LONESTAR
Today :
BETTER ACCESS. BETTER
COMMUNICATION. BETTER RESULTS. LONESTAR
is
taking full advantage of the internet, mobile
technology, social
networking sites and
participating in direct feedback with fans. The
band's musical legacy is tied to modern-day
classics like "Amazed," "I'm Already There," and
"My Front Porch Looking In,"
LONESTAR
understands what it takes to be successful and
how to manage
that success, they
demonstrated that leadership when their long
time front man left to pursue his own career.
LONESTAR has
rebounded and adapted to change in their careers
and had more focus than ever when searching for
a new lead singer. Keech, Dean, and Michael were
united in their goal of keeping
LONESTAR
together and continuing to
work together
to make new music. To this end, they listened to
countless CDs and, yes, MySpace page songs, as
well as making phone calls and basically
brainstorming for ideas for their lead vocalist
replacement. This search led to a young man from
Florida who Dean had seen singing in a bar
called "Cowboys" in Kennesaw, GA. To that end,
Cody
Collins brings to
LONESTAR a
perfect complement to the bands current musical
dynamic, Cody's vocal ability has audiences
across the United States saying,
LONESTAR
is
better than ever. In asking founding member,
Dean Sams what the future
means? Sams
says " We feel like we have the opportunity that
few bands ever get, we've sold millions of
records, have had 10 #1 hits, and now we have
the chance to take control of our careers and do
it all over again."
Today
LONESTAR is
Cody Collins, Dean Sams, Michael Britt & Keech
Rainwater and for

Saturday,
August 14th - Night Ranger, 7:30 pm
There are a lot of reasons to
celebrate the release of Night Ranger’s “Hole in
the Sun,” notably that it marks the band’s first
studio album in a decade and commemorates the
pioneering hard rock outfit’s 25th anniversary
as a band. But as has been the case throughout
Night Ranger’s heralded career, the best reason
to celebrate is the music itself.
“People will hear this record
and recognize our dual blazing guitars and
vocals, and big choruses and melodic verses,
because that’s definitely how you can describe
this album,” explains singer/bassist Jack Blades
of the new release, the band’s eighth studio
album, and first for VH1 Classic Records. “It’s
new Night Ranger, but in a lot of ways it’s
classic Night Ranger.”
“Classic Night Ranger…” Three
simple words that could start their own chapter
in the complex history of commercial hard rock,
as the core trio of Blades, guitarist Brad
Gillis and drummer/vocalist Kelly Keagy are
responsible for penning a handful of the ‘80s
landmark hits, from one of the most defining and
immediately recognizable epic power ballads of
all-time in “Sister Christian” and the
similarly-slowed tempos of “Sentimental Street”
and “When You Close Your Eyes,” to the
guitar-driven radio juggernauts “(You Can Still)
Rock in America” and “Don’t Tell Me You Love
Me,” Night Ranger are a rare band whose
signature sound is more recognizable than their
blue collar, every-man image.
“Even with all of our hits,
people knew the band’s name, but they didn’t
know the band,” recalls Gillis. “The lucky thing
is, 25 years later, we’re still touring and
making records.” A little luck always helps, but
in the case of Night Ranger, the proof remains
in the music, as the band endure as champions of
a music-first mentality seldom seen in today’s
image-conscious world. “Songwriting is about
experiences,” continues the guitarist, “if you
can write about things that everybody can relate
to, it’s those songs that come from the heart
that usually hit the hardest.”
Night Ranger hit hard throughout “Hole in the
Sun.”
The message is clear: You
can still rock in America.
